I saw this production at the Edinburgh Festival. I thought it was 1964? And it was on a traverse stage at the Assembly Rooms. I might be wrong and you might be crediting a revival. I’m glad to learn that it was directed by Frank Dunlop, not something I would have thought about as a teenager. And I wish I had remembered the young Jane Asher. Thanks for the reminder. I also saw Marlene Dietrich at the Edinburgh Festival, with musical direction by Burt Bacarach. And I saw the Footlight show with Michael Palin and Eric Idle in it!
