Play description
The play was originally written in 1854 as “The Courier of Lyons” and was based on an earlier work by Louis Mathurin-Moreau, Paul Siraudin and Alfred Delacour.
In 1877 it was rewritten as “The Lyons Mail” for presentation by Henry Irving at the Lyceum Theatre.
