The Huntington

The Henry Jewett Players moved here in 1925 from their previous home at the Copley Theatre on Dartmouth Street (qv). The Company remained here until 1930 when it became financially unviable. The theatre was used as a movie theatre for many years and known as the Esquire Theatre. It occasionally reverted to theatre productions. In 1982 it became The Huntington.
