Janice Cook

Jan was born in Bristol two months before the outbreak of WWII. Her parents met whilst working in a cigarette factory.
Jan acted in joined the Little Theatre, Bristol as an Assistant Stage Manger (ASM), working in weekly rep. She also acted, sang, danced, and became at one time the youngest full Stage Manager in the country. She was trained by Peggy Anne Wood and Ronnie Russell and learned valuable life skills. This experience gave her a many of the abilities that she used so amazingly as a loving mother and successful businesswoman throughout the rest of her life.
Jan was tragically killed in a car accident in September 2013. More than 200 friends and family came to an event to celebrate her life. These weren’t just people who met her, but people who loved her. She had a genuine warmth and ability to care for everyone she met, and her loss has left devastating hole is all of our lives.
