Gabrielle Rees

Born 1926, aged 17 when playing part of Helen in ‘Sunny River’ with Evelyn Laye, London 1943. Continued acting and singing for a while, was with Middle East Symphony Orchestra with ENSA. Switched to teaching with specialization in music and drama. After retirement focussed upon cat-rescue, typically seeking homes for some 30, was herself homed by their kind consent with 7 of her own at her home in Sheringham, Norfolk.
Alas; she died 5^th April 2017.
