Newsome Mccormack

Newsome was born in Liverpool, but moved to Burnley where she spent much of
her childhood living with her aunt. Upon leaving school she joined the local rep
and after gaining extensive experience moved about the country touring in plays
and playing in seasons at towns such as Southampton, Huddersfield,
Camberwell in London, and Birmingham. She also appeared in television
productions in the 1950’s such as Our Marie (about Marie Lloyd) and another
lavish production about C. B. Cochran. She was married to Philip Greene, and
had two children, a daughter Adrienne, and a son Nicholas.
