Torin Thatcher
Born in Bombay, India on January 15, 1905. Died in Thousand Oaks, California on March 4, 1981. Attended RADA after graduating from Bedford Academy, first stage performance was “A Month In the Country” at Playhouse Theatre in Oxford in 1925. Has appeared in plays by Shaw, Shakespeare, and many Greek tragedies. Later on he appeared in British films including “Sabotage”, “The Fallen Idol”, and David Lean’s “Great Expectations.” Continued work in the theatre in the United States from 1949 and continued to work in film until his death in 1981.
