Ruby Ginner

47 year friendship with Irene Mawer (1893–1962), they met each other at Elsie Fogerty’s Central School, when it was based at the Royal Albert Hall. Ruby Ginner was teaching her own method of Classical Greek Dance and Irene Mawer went to her for dance lessons. Ruby Ginner invited Irene Mawer to play the role of Harlequin in a mime play (circa 1912–16). Irene Mawer was a born mime and the pair founded their own school.
