Alec Nelson
Alec Nelson is the pen name of Edward Bibbins Aveling (1851–1898) an English socialist and doctor, translater of the “Kapital” living together with Marx’ daughter Eleanor (nickname: Tussy) Marx (1855–1898). He was accused for having put Eleanor up to commit suicid by the German socialist Eduard Bernstein exiled in London. He was in money trouble at all times and married clandestinely the actress Eva Frye in 1897.
