Ian Calvin

Ian Calvin (Ian Wilson) began his acting career in the 1960s the earliest record is him performing as a singer in Charlies Girl at The Adelephi Theatre London

He later travelled to Paris and sang for Michele Le Grand for a film musical.

Ian played the Prince in no less than 13 theatre productions, including 3 different versions of Snow White for John Farrow, and as Prince Charming at the Swansea Grand

Ian has worked in the West End as well as around the UK, including Swansea Grand Theatre, Southend, Southsea, and Eastbourne (his hometown) at The Royal Hippodrome, Winter Gardens, The Congress and Devonshire Park Theatre

He performed with Andre Previn and the London Symphony Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall, London

Ian performed in Oliver! And toured in Japan.

Other performances include the Dancing Years and a Revue at The Mayfair London.

In the summer of 1978 Ian was performing in Margate and has just returned from a caberet tour of Scandinavia.

Ian sadly passed away in February 1987 whilst performing in Les Miserables as original cast member aged just 43.
