Emlyn Harris
Having worked as a tin miner in Cornwall, Emlyn Harris trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School (1975–77. After graduation, he worked with Spectrum Theatre based in Cambridge, before appearing at York Theatre Royal. His first role was as Audrey in ‘As You Like It’.
Seasons at Salisbury Playhouse and York Theatre Royal followed before Emlyn played Stanley Baldrey in ‘Funny Peculiar’ at York before a Number one national tour of the play, extending to 40-weeks.
He Joined the Royal Shakespeare Company for its London season, playing in ‘Once in a Lifetime’ and ‘Piaf’ at the Piccadilly Theatre.
From December 1984 to January 1985 he played Mowgi in the first West End production on ‘Jungle Book’ at the Adelphi Theatre.
