Hilary Samson
Initially a reporter for the Daily Express, then joined the publicity department of Warner Bros, working mainly from Teddington Studios but making long trips to Hollywood. Became publicity manager for the Theatre Royal, Windsor (and editor of its magazine programme, Curtain Up) in May 1967, staying there until November 1995. Her first husband was playwright and film publicist Leonard Samson; her second was music teacher Peter Miles, who was also the Theatre Royal’s in-house photographer in the 1980s and 90s.
