Giovanni Morassutti

Giovanni Enrico Morassutti (born March 15, 1980) is an Italian actor, theatre director and cultural entrepreneur, graduate of the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and long time student and collaborator of John Strasberg. He is half German and half Italian and in 1999 he moved to New York where he interned at the Actors Studio for about one year and worked with Ellen Stewart at La MaMa. He also appeared in Last Days directed by Gus Van Sant and in 2016 he wrote the foreword of the Italian version of John Strasberg’book Accidentally On Purpose. Since 2001 he has appeared in more than 20 films including indipendent films , prime time tv and international films. As a stage actor and director he has worked in plays in Sweden, Belgium, Holland, Italy and the US presented in theaters like the Cherry Lane in 2012 , the Gene Frankel Theatre and La MaMa among others. He is the founder of Art Aia-Creatives/In/Residence.
