Ben Hardy

Ben Hardy was born Ben Jones on 2 January 1991 in Bournemouth, Dorset (United Kingdom), and grew up in Sherborne. He attended The Gryphon School. He graduated from the Central School of Speech and Drama with a BA (Hons) in Acting.

Ben starred in The Judas Kiss (1998) play, written by David Hare, in 2012 and played the character Arthur Wellesley, a member of the hotel staff. The play was held in Hampstead Theatre on the September 6, 2012.

On April 19, 2013 it was announced that Ben would play Peter Beale in EastEnders, taking over from Thomas Law who played the character from 2006 until 2010. He made his first appearance as Peter on 7 June 2013.

Hardy joined the cast of X-Men: Apocalipsis (2016) on February 25, 2015, following his departure from EastEnders and ended up playing winged mutant Angel (a.k.a Warren Worthington III). He was subsequently cast as writer John William Polidori in Haifaa Al-Mansour’s period romance film A Storm in the Stars, opposite Elle Fanning and Douglas Booth.

In April 2018 he played the lead part of Walter Hartright in the BBC adaptation of the Wilkie Collins novel The Woman in White. He played Queen drummer Roger Taylor in the biographical film Bohemian Rhapsody (2018).
