Ricky Whaites

Ricky studied music & composition at Leeds University, and has since worked as a sound designer, composer and arranger writing for film, television, and theatre. Having spent over 12 years as a chorister in Cathedral choirs, he draws musical inspiration from choral music, and has written commissioned pieces sung by choirs in both England and Canada. He recently scored original music for St John Hankin’s play The Last of The De Mullins (Jermyn St Theatre), and is currently in rehearsals for the premier of Buzzology, an original musical comedy to be premiered at The Gilded Balloon at this summer’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
