William was recently on the big screen again in The Hustle, with Anne Hathaway, Rebel Wilson, and Alex Sharp, and he was Otto von Lichtenstein in Florians Last Climb, which recently had the honour of a screening at BAFTA. An accomplished voiceover artist, recent audio drama includes a major role as Hansard in Alien – River of Pain for Audible, and multiple roles in Tommies for BBC Radio Drama. Audiobook credits include My Turn for Macmillan/Audible. Recent TV includes playing the provost of the university of Heidelberg in an episode of Genius – Nat Geo’s first scripted drama – directed by the legendary Ron Howard (in Prague (where he’d filmed episodes of NBC/Netflix/StudioCanal’s Crossing Lines as Chief Inspector Galland in 2013), and the Austrian Minister of War in the BBC’s huge and highly-praised production of War and Peace. Recent theatre includes workshopping a new production of Home at Theatre Royal Stratford East with writer Emma Donoghue and award-winning director Cora Bissett, and Beauty and the Beast at Theatre Royal Hornchurch.
Before that he was Kurt Hauser in Sky’s action series Strike Back, working with the amazing Michelle Yeoh in Budapest, where he’d also shot ABC’s The Angry Knight in King Arthur’s Court.
A life’s ambition of being onscreen with Kermit was fulfilled in The Muppets…Again, and before that he was Mr Feldman in Woman in Gold, starring Helen Mirren and directed by Simon Curtis. Other film includes Ritchie Valens in Words of Love, and Christian Rainer in The Care of Time.
