Joanna Rosenfeld

Born in Germany, Joanna trained under her birth name Sabine Hauschild at the Schülerclub, Kammerpiele, Städtische Bühnen, Frankfurt am Main, under Alexander Brill. There, she was engaged for a run of Die Presidentinnen by Anselm Weber, with Marina Galič.
Joanna read English and American Studies and Drama at the Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe University, Frankfurter/M. and at Southampton University, and achieved an M.A. with honors.
She specialized in physical theatre at Hope Street Ltd. and John Moores University in Liverpool, before starting up the small scale touring theatre company AboutFaceTheatre Company with Claire Wilson and Richard Willacy.
The first show EXILED was premiered at the Unity Theatre, Liverpool, before going to the Edinburgh Fringe.
Their second show CLOSE UPS, directed by Tim Hall (formerly Forced Entertainment) premiered at the Workhause, Liverpool, and toured internationally to Canada, USA, Germany as well as the UK.
