Colin McCredie

Colin McCredie grew up in Perth and trained at the RSAMD. He is best known for playing D.C. Fraser in over 75 episodes of Taggart for STV. Colin is delighted to be back inside Pitlochry Festival Theatre after spending last summer outside performing in The Wind in The Willows and A Night By the River Tay. He can be seen in the forthcoming BBC Scotland adaptation of Andrew O’Hagan’s Mayflies and recently voiced the letters of Ian Brady for the Channel 4 Moors Murders documentary series. He has also appeared in Still Game (BBC Studios), Outlander (Sony Pictures Television), River City, The Missing Postman (BBC Scotland), Doctor Finlay (STV) and CBeebies Woolly & Tig. Theatre includes Oh When the Saints (Perth Theatre), A Christmas Carol (Pitlochry Festival Theatre), God of Carnage (Tron Theatre Company), Democracy (Rapture Theatre), Dear Scotland (National Theatre of Scotland) Thank You and The Ching Room (Play, Pie & a Pint), Ian Pattison’s I,Tommy (Gilded Balloon & Kings Theatre Glasgow) and Passing Places (Traverse Theatre) Colin has also appeared in the feature films Shallow Grave (Film 4), Small Faces (BBC Films) and the recent The Last Bus (Hurricane Films) with Timothy Spall.
