Ronald Mullenger

After a career as a child film actor, Ron Mullenger got a proper job. The threatre still retained a great pull on him, so in 1968 took a part time job as stage crew on Charlie Girl at the Adelphi Threatre. While doiing this he was invited to become an Acting/ASM on The Man of La Mancha at the P:iccadilly Threatre. He then joined Basilica Opera Company and assisted in fourtgeen productions including Carmen, Merry Widow, Barber of Seville and many others. He joined Northern Ireland Arts Council as production manager to produce Carmen and Tosca in collaboration with La Scala Milan. As company stage manager he took several plays out on tour including Come When You Like starring Amanda Barrie and Bill Maynard and a musical Pull Both Ends starring Gerry Marsden. He was then company stage manager for Mchael White and produced What the Butler Saw at the Whitehall Theatre and The Chairman at the Globe Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue. Finally he was appointed Assistant Diretor on ‘Oh Calcutta’ at both the Royalty and Duchess Theatres a position he held until the show closed. Since that time he has concentrated on writing and his latest book is due out in March 2013.
