Jackie Skarvellis was born in Cardiff on December 28th1942 and died in London on October 19th, 2016 aged 73. She went to Clive Hall School, Cardiff and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She appeared in Oh Calcutta and Let My People Come in the West End and on numerous tours, including Lindsey Anderson’s The Cherry Orchard and The Guardsman. She also appeared in several cult horror films by Andy Milligan in the 1960s and 70s, including The Body Beneath and The Rats are Coming, the Werewolves are Here. She was well known on the London Fringe and her many plays include Everyone Wants to be Bette Davis, Eat Your Heart Out Joan Crawford,Carry On Brighton, Still Waters and James Dean is Dead, Long Live James Dean. She had numerous TV credits to her name, including Doctor Who,Casualty and Birds of a Feather. She will be much missed.
