Gordon Anderson
Gordon Anderson was born in Stirling, Scotland. He began his career in the theatre, training at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. He went on to direct for many of the leading UK theatre and opera companies, including the Royal Court Theatre, The National Theatre, The Royal Shakespeare Company, Scottish Opera and English Touring Opera. He then trained as a screen director on one of the BBC’s prestigious Director Training Courses. The first show he directed for television was the multi award-winning ‘The Catherine Tate Show’, which he also co-developed and wrote for. He has subsequently directed shows for all of the UK’s main television channels and Netflix. He has directed high-profile commercial campaigns for O2 and Tui.
