Global Theatre Company was established in 1997 producing high standard plays by classical authors using actors dedicated to the works chosen.

Educating Rita was presented at the Thurrock Drama Festival in June 2006 and won Best Director (Michael Philips), Best Actor (Richard Holliss), Best Actress (Lucy Elliott).

Art was presented at the Thurrock Drama Festival in June 2008 and won Best Play, Best Director (Michael Philips), Best Actor (Dave Millard), Best Lighting and Sound (Dave Mason).
