Swashbuckling tale of Cavaliers and Roundheads, with a Scarlet Pimpernel slant, described by the author as “a romance of the Exeter-road of the 1650 period”. (Richmond Herald 2^nd February 1946, page 9.) Initially called THE MOONRAKER, it reappeared in 1947 as LADY OF THE NIGHT but subsequently reverted to its original title.
