I See With My Eyes Closed

Tonight and for one night only, two major forces of British contemporary music and theatre come together in this exciting, all-Birmingham collaboration. First conceived 10 years ago, I See With My Eyes Closed is the fulfillment of a long-held dream between BCMG and Stan’s Cafe, of creating a piece that’s not quite theatre and not a straight-forward concert.

Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, world renowned for performing and commissioning exciting new music, has, in talented composer Michael Wolters, found a match for James Yarker’s Stan’s Cafe, one of the UK’s leading contemporary theatre companies. Full of playful humour, Michael‘s seductive new piece I See With My Eyes Closed is premiered alongside Igor Stravinsky’s The Soldier’s Tale Suite and Richard Causton’s Rituals of Hunting and Blooding.
