The production combines elements of traditional musical theatre with the spectacle of the circus. The characters include jugglers, trapeze artists and clowns.

It was a UK tour and then had a West End run at the Dominion Theatre, it was directed for the West End by Joe Layton ( original Broadway director ) owing to the death of Buddy Schwarb.
