The Reluctant Debutante
For the first week of the West End run, Peter Myers’ role as David Bulloch was played by his understudy, Jeremy Longhurst, owing to Myers’ illness. (‘Chit Chat’, The Stage 2nd June 1955, page 6.)
The West End run achieved 748 performances.
On 12th August 1957, the post-West End tour transferred to a different management (Alfred Farrell for Kingwood Productions), with Jack Hulbert still in the lead but an otherwise different cast.
