Harvey

He is bigger and grander than anything!

Forty-seven-year-old Elwood P. Dowd’s best friend is called Harvey. Harvey is an invisible, six-foot-tall rabbit. They are both well-known and liked in the taverns around town, but Dowd’s relatives, who have come to live with him, are embarrassed by his behaviour and try to have him committed to an insane asylum. Mary Chase’s wonderful comic play will have even the most cynical convinced Harvey is real by the end. And, anyway, does it really matter? Surely being a nice person is more important than being sane.
