Observations

During a ten day break in Rosmersholm’s run at the Cottesloe Roger Lloyd Pack had the misfortune to suffer a serious injury in a car crash. I was asked to take over the part of John Rosmer. I got the impression that David Ryall was more disappointed than most at losing Roger as he gave me a tough time while rehearsing our scenes togther. The gauntlet was down, I had to seriously raise my game. By the time we opened those scenes were scorching. He was a great actor and made me a better one.
