Jane Eyre
Yvette Pienne left her role for a week in February 1937 to appear in the Sacha Guitry film LES PERLES DE LA COURONNE. (The Stage, 18th February 1937, page 2.)
For part of the run at the Aldwych, Marie Ault was also playing Marthy in ANNA CHRISTIE at the Westminster Theatre: “She has to effect a change of make-up and personality in a taxi-cab en route from one theatre to the other.” (Flotsam, ‘Jetsam Jottings’, The Stage 8th April 1937, page 9.)
