The Tempest

This 1959 production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest adapted by Dryden and D’Avenant with a musical score by Henry Purcell, was staged to celebrate the Purcell Tercentenary.
The adaptation, a comedy, was first performed in London in the 1660s.
