The Rehearsal
UK premiere of Jean Anouilh’s 1950 play LA REPETITION OU L’AMOUR PUNI, in the translation by Pamela Hansford Johnson and Kitty Black.
The West End transfer of this Bristol Old Vic production involved three different theatres, including two spells at the Globe.
Jeffery Dench, who played Monsieur Damiens at Bristol, took over from Andrew Kane as the footman halfway through the West End run.
