Love’s Labour’s Lost

Grassroots Shakespeare London present their production of Shakespeare’s classic rom-com Love’s Labour’s Lost in repertory with Romeo and Juliet as part of their Summer of Love season at the Old Red Lion Theatre, which launched on 18th June 2013 for a six week run.

“Such is the simplicity of man to hearken after the flesh.”

Think you can live without sex? The King of Navarre thought so. Getting his knights to pledge to three years of study was hard enough, but when the Princess of France turns up with her beautiful ladies, his best laid plans start to all go horribly, and hilariously, wrong!

Shakespeare’s sparkling rom-com is a delightful romp through the countryside packed full of sexual innuendo, lusty intrigues and frisky frolics.
