Soho Poly, London

After tenures at the original Soho Theatre in New Compton Street (1969–70) and the King’s Head in Islington (1971), this was the new venue for the Soho Theatre Company, provided by the Extra-Mural Department of the Polytechnic of Central London (hence Soho Poly) and opening on 8th March 1972 with TRIAL OF SAINT GEORGE. The last show, BURNING PATIENCE, closed on 15th December 1990. The address was 16 Riding House Street, London W1.
