Phoenix Theatre (2)
The Phoenix Theatre was a pioneering off- Broadway company operating from 1953 to 1982. Their original premises Phoenix Theatre (1) opened 1st December 1953 at East 12th Street at Second Avenue but in 1961 the theatre ran into financial difficulties and moved to these smaller premises.
