Liz Buffery
Liz trained as a flute player at the Royal College of Music from 1977 – 1981. As with most RCM students at that time, her second study was piano.
Liz’s twin sister, the actress Kate Buffery, was offered a lead part in the debut production of ‘Daisy Pulls It Off’ at the Nuffield Theatre Southampton. This then transferred to the London’s West End and Kate proposed her twin sister Liz to play the part of the the School Pianist. This involved dressing in ‘30s costume with a gown and playing hymns on a tiny ‘ships’ piano. Also playing a Chopin Nocturne back stage.
Liz now runs Cubertou SARL which provides holiday courses for adults in music and art in the glorious Lot Valley region of South West France.
