Jackie Skarvellis
Jackie Skarvellis was born in Cardiff on 28th December 1942 and died in London on 19th October 2016, aged 73.She went to Clive Hall School, Cardiff and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
She appeared in Oh Calcutta! and Let My People Come in the West End and on numerous tours, including Lindsay Anderson’s The Cherry Orchard and The Guardsman. She also appeared in several cult horror films directed by Andy Milligan in the late 1960s, including The Body Beneath and The Rats are Coming! The Werewolves are Here! She also had numerous TV credits to her name, including Doctor Who, Casualty and Birds of a Feather. Well known on the London fringe, her many plays include Everyone Wants to be Bette Davis, Eat Your Heart Out Joan Crawford, Carry On Brighton, Still Waters and James Dean is Dead, Long Live James Dean.
She will be much missed.
