Nicola Blackman

Born in Battersea, her father was West Indian cricketer James Blackman and her mother Catherine, an accountant from Port Rush, NI. Whilst still at drama school (Guildhall ) she made her West End debut in Showboat, starring Cleo Laine. Other West End shows include: Mutiny! Godspell, Elegies, Little Shop Of Horrors, Barnum , Destry Rides Again, for which she was nominated for an Olivier Award, as Best Supporting Actress and most recently Lion King. She has been a member of the National Theatre, English Shakespeare Company, toured the UK, South Africa, USA, Russia, Ukraine and the UAE 2014, has see Nicola premiere new works at the Landor, Soho Theatre and the new Park Theatre London. On TV, she had her own series Us Girls, Madam Manhattan, Numbers Plus, guested on Angels, Casualty, Birds of A Feather, The Bill, I Claudius and Bridget Hitler.,
